Importance of Top Management Commitment to Organizational Citizenship Behaviour towards the Environment, Green Training and Environmental Performance in Pakistani Industries

This research examines the interplay of green training, organisational citizenship behaviour toward environment, top management commitment, and environmental performance in four different industrial units Pakistan. These have been implementing environmentally friendly policies conforming their activities to regulatory framework Pakistan’s National Environment Quality Standards a sustainable manner. In particular, this aims ascertain how training affects evaluate impact commitment training. According hypothesis testing results based on 222 key informants randomly recruited from industry, positively relates civic environment. addition, is entirely related performance. contrast, also associated with commitment. study supports ability motivation opportunity resource-based view theories by demonstrating that factor encouraging promoting leads has several limitations, as cross-sectional data were only manufacturing sector The researchers strongly suggest future studies use mixed-method understand phenomenon better. Future could conduct comparative using current instrument service sector. Finally, multilevel modelling potential moderators mediators constructively re-examine model tested incorporating new variables accordingly.
